Paranoid Prophet is a small Christian media and research site. This privacy policy explains, in plain language, how information may be processed when you visit the site or contact us.
Paranoid Prophet is the website operator responsible for information under its direct control.
The short version: we ask readers for very little personal information. We do not sell personal information, run advertising, or build advertising profiles about our readers. No grift—especially with privacy.

Information You Provide
You do not need to create an account, purchase a subscription, post comments, or submit public content to read Paranoid Prophet.
If you email us directly, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and message.
Information Processed Automatically
Basic technical information may be processed automatically through GoDaddy hosting, WordPress, website security, server logs, Google Analytics, and normal site functionality.
Depending on the service involved, this may include an IP address, browser and device information, approximate location, referral source, requested or viewed pages, interactions with the site, and the date and time of access.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- provide, maintain, and secure the website;
- prevent spam, abuse, attacks, and technical failures;
- diagnose website problems and measure performance;
- understand general readership and content engagement;
- improve the reader experience;
- respond to direct messages; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations or protect legal rights.
Hosting
Paranoid Prophet is hosted by GoDaddy. GoDaddy and its service providers may process limited technical information as necessary to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the website.
GoDaddy handles information according to its own Global Privacy Notice and applicable service agreements.
Google Analytics
Paranoid Prophet uses Google Analytics to understand general website traffic, measure content performance, and improve the site.
Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, session activity, browser and device information, approximate geographic location, referral source, and interactions with the site.
Enhanced Measurement is enabled. Depending on the page and feature involved, Analytics may measure events such as page views, scrolling, outbound-link clicks, file-link clicks, embedded-video engagement, and site searches.
Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies, including an identifier commonly stored in the _ga cookie, to distinguish browsers and sessions.
Google processes this information according to its own Privacy Policy and its explanation of how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Paranoid Prophet uses Analytics information to understand general site activity and performance. We do not use it to sell reader information or operate advertising on the site.
Analytics Data Retention
Google Analytics is configured to retain user-level and event-level data covered by its data-retention controls for two months.
The retention period is not reset when a reader returns to the site. Google may retain aggregated reporting information separately according to its own policies and service operations.
Cookies and Your Choices
You can restrict, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect how certain website features operate.
Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
On-Device Preferences
Some site features, including guided-reading and narration tools, may store reading progress, playback preferences, or similar settings locally in your browser or device.
These settings help the feature work and may be removed when you clear your browser data. Narration generated by your device is not uploaded to Paranoid Prophet as hosted audio.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not currently run advertising on the site.
- We do not currently use advertising networks to monetize readers.
- We do not require reader accounts or paid subscriptions.
- We do not currently operate a newsletter or public comment system.
- We do not use reader information to create targeted advertising campaigns for Paranoid Prophet.
Service Providers and Legal Disclosures
GoDaddy, Google, the site’s email provider, and providers of embedded third-party content may process limited information when necessary to provide their respective services.
These providers handle information according to their own terms, privacy policies, and service configurations.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a lawful request, investigate abuse, enforce site policies, or protect the rights, safety, and security of the site or others.
Third-Party Links and Embedded Content
Paranoid Prophet may link to or embed material from third-party services such as YouTube, X, Bible websites, research sources, or other external platforms.
Embedded content may allow the outside provider to receive technical information or information about your interaction with the embedded feature, depending on its configuration and your browser settings.
External websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies. Paranoid Prophet does not control and is not responsible for their privacy practices.
AI-Assisted Content
Paranoid Prophet may use AI-assisted tools to support research, brainstorming, organization, editing, and visual or content development.
These tools support the content-creation process. They are not used to profile visitors, serve targeted advertisements, or make automated decisions about readers.
Children’s Privacy
Paranoid Prophet is a general-audience site and is not intended specifically for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact us so we can review the issue and, when appropriate, delete the information.
Data Retention
Direct email messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, or protect the site.
Hosting, security, and server records may be retained according to the operational needs and normal settings of GoDaddy and other relevant technical services.
The separate Google Analytics retention period is described above.
Security
Reasonable measures are used to protect information under our control. However, no website, email system, transmission method, or form of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Privacy Requests
You may contact us to ask whether we maintain personal information that you submitted directly, or to request its correction or deletion.
We may need enough information to verify the request. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
Browser Privacy Signals
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track,” Global Privacy Control, or similar privacy signals. The site may not respond to every signal through a separate automated process.
Paranoid Prophet does not sell personal information or operate targeted advertising on the site.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the site’s technology or practices change, including if Paranoid Prophet later adds advertising, affiliate programs, newsletters, memberships, public accounts, products, payments, reader submissions, or other features that materially change how information is processed.
Material changes will be posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
